Memory Verse

Here is my memory verse for the week... Very fitting for a new year...

"For I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me." Phillippians 4:11-13

I like how it is written in "The Message"-
"Actually, I don't have a sense of needing anything personally. I've learned by now to be quite content whatever my circumstances. I'm just as happy with little as with much, with much as with little. I've found the recipe for being happy whether full or hungry, hands full or hands empty. Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am. "

It is not my job to worry about the "things" God has filled the hands of my friends with, but rather to be content with what He has placed in my hands and has filled me with because Christ is the one who makes me who I am.
